I have recently been criticized rather non-constructively by some people (you know who you are), and I would like to say something to you, and any future ‘haters.’ Although it may seem that I don’t like conservatives, I have plenty of conservative friends, and that’s fine as long as we don’t talk politics. You see, the problem with politics is that we all think we’re right. No matter what side we’re on. Because no matter how good the argument, we will nearly always be able to counter it. But I digress. I don’t want to stop you all from commenting, but I do dislike it when people are nasty and negative. So thanks, everyone out there, for supporting us, hating us, or just not caring.
9/11… and why the crackpot conspiracy theorists just may have finally got something right.
•June 5, 2008 • 2 Comments Before I become known as a conspiracy theorist, I have to say that normally, I would dismiss these sorts of things. I don’t believe everything is a conpiracy, but there are some very suspicious things about the attack on the WTC on September 11th, 2001. First of all, it seems odd, doesn’t it, that the air force did seemingly nothing that day. This is probably in part because there were several different war games (training/simulation exercises) running that day, one of them being a semi-annual exercise that for some reason had been running for at least two days, and possibly up to four. Again, several different exercises being run at the same time, on the same day. Now doesn’t that seem strange?
Another ‘coincidence’ is that apparently the vice president, Mr. Dick Cheney, was the one in charge of scheduling and running these exercises, remotely, of course. Also, some of the exercises actually entailed what would happen if planes were hijacked and run into buildings. Amidst all these tests, “however, Deskins and other NORAD officials… are initially confused about whether the 9/11 attacks are real or part of the exercise (see this article.)” The real thing was at first mistaken for merely an exercise. That seems like a pretty big coincidence. One of the young women on board Flight 11 made a call, and even though she was obviously distressed, some ground officials did not believe her, and thought she must be wrong. Another account states that a flight attendant, also on Flight 11, made a call, and that “two managers in SOC” decided not to tell anyone about the ‘supposed’ hijacking. In fact, it was reported that the FAA realized Flight 11 had probably been hijacked around 8:20, yet NEADS (a division of NORAD) was not alerted of this possibility until at 8:38. At 8:52, “a flight attendant on Flight 175 calls a United Airlines office in San Francisco, reporting that the flight had been hijacked” (source: wikipedia). This was about six minutes after the Flight 11 crashed int the North Tower. At 9:03, 11 minutes later, Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower. Now you have to wonder, even with NORAD being alerted around 8:40, how is it that nothing could (or would) be done in 23 minutes? How is it that an air force that is supposed to be scrambled as soon as a hijacking (or any apparent problem with a jet, such as losing radio contact, occurs,) and in tests could be in the air within 3-5 minutes max., fail to even locate either plane, especially Flight 175, in 23 minutes? Unless they had (1) been ordered to stand down, or (2) were so confused because so many test runs were planned that day that nobody had any idea about what was going on? Then at 9:24, NORAD is notified that Flight 77, too, may have been hijacked. NORAD already had fighters in the air around Long Island, initially meant to intercept one of the first two planes, but still waiting there. Now, these jets can fly at supersonic speeds. In fact, statistics show top speeds of two and a half times the speed of sound. Mach 2.5. That is pretty damn fast. So how could they have been so slow? Oddly enough, Flight 77 had gone toward the White House (after being officially hijacked) and then turned away, heading back towards it at 9:33, providing enough time to allow the vice president (Cheney- he set up all the spread out exercises to be on one day- that guy, remember?) to be evacuated. Ok, even allowing for the F-15 fighter jets somehow not making it, what about Flight 93? This all started at around half past eight in the morning, so how is it that when flight 93 had obviously been hijacked, and the passenger revolt began around half past nine, nothing was done? Flight 93 crashed just after ten in the morning, over an hour after NORAD was notified of the beginning horror.
Now, I want to say a few words. I know his all sounds like I’m determined to make it look like 9/11 was a conspiracy planned by the government. The fact is, seeing all the evidence for and against that, I’m just not sure. It is a terrible tragedy either way, but if it was planned by the government, the people have a right to know. A few things are for sure: (1) Either those exercises were a distraction, or someone leaked to Al-Qaeda. That or Osama was just damn lucky. (2) There were definitely some weird things going on that morning, whether planned or accidental. Dig deep enough and you will find some disturbing evidence. Ask and you shall receive. (3) Whoever orchestrated 9/11 handed the Bush Administration just what they needed- an easily manipulable way to go into the middle east and wreak havoc.
I’m not sure I know what to think, but maybe some of you do. So go ahead and tell us what you think- yes it was planned by our government, no it was a terrorist plot, whatever. Just be nice. And before criticizing or agreeing, try to back up what you say. At least have a good source at the ready. Oh and if their’s something I forgot- evidence for or against a conspiracy- share it, and I’ll try to work it in. Maybe if you ask nicely, I’ll write a post on if it wasn’t the government.

But, I would still cook with it even if it didn’t.
It seems like everybody is dying of something or other these days.
What am I talking about.. of COURSE people are dying. Personally, maybe it’s a good idea to have population control. Albeit in a rather nasty form of disease or cancer.
Have you noticed how horrible the population number seems to be getting up to these days? Everybody has a say about global warming, and about how natural resources are being lowered, and the like. Think about it. Did it occur to anybody that this is because there’s too many people trying to use things at once?
Overpopulation. That there is a report on it. Check it. I’m thinking that if we can cause natural resources to dwindle, we could sure as hell raise the temperature of the earth a few degrees. Bodies are hot! (98.6 Fahrenheit to be exact). If cows in the United States can raise the methane levels of the earth’s atmosphere, I think a bunch of overpopulated homes can raise the temperature.
Is anybody catching what I’m getting at? There’s too many people! I can’t stand how there’s so many of us, and stuck in such close confines. I’m thinking there’s a solution. Maybe… Birth control? Or at least we could be like China. One kid per family. Nah.. that’s harsh. How about…2. You’re replacing yourself.
I’m tired of hearing about people having 15 kids..at once. It’s absolutely insane.
Ay.. I suppose I could live and let live.. But where’s the fun in that?

Money, Tax, and Debt
•June 1, 2008 • 1 CommentI fail to see why the government needs to charge us tax on what we buy. First of all, they take the money that we work for and earn, and tax us on that, and then proceed to tax us again on what we buy using that already-shrunken sum of money. So they charge us twice on it, and yet this ‘great country of ours’ is still approximately 9.4 trillion dollars in debt. That averages to $31k per person. And by pretty much any standards, that’s one hell of a debt. It’s also interesting that with how much we pay, we don’t have universal health care, or even health care for everyone in the states, yet we’ve spent nearly $525 billion on the war in Iraq. That’s another $1.7k for each of us. Generations from now, we will still be in debt, and probably still paying taxes on what we earn and for what we use those pre-taxed dollars. I don’t want to get into a political argument, but hell, is it too much to ask to be taxed only once, even if it feels like a bigger rip off at the time? Think about it. Then talk to me.

The Man Who Stole the Nation
•May 31, 2008 • Leave a CommentFor starters…
Everyone has different political views. This leads to diversity, elections, and infinite possibilities for government. It also leads to many wrong ideas, along with people who make idiots out of themselves, or idiots who make whole countries look stupid. There are a lot of bad opinions out there, and even though one person alone doesn’t make a difference, a lot of ones makes a big difference. So, let’s start with President Bush. First of all, I think he has fantastic pronunciation. He also has a wide vocabulary and the extremely impressive ability to form complicated and clearly worded sentences. As well, he apparently enjoys building up the suspense in his speeches by pausing every few syllables. What a nail-biter.
A Change in Tone…
Frankly, I’m completely sick of the entire administration. They remind me of some Hollywood movie series that just won’t stop. How many lives need to be lost before this war is ended? Yes, we’ve all been informed of the 3,000 or so American soldiers whose lives have been lost, and yes, it certainly is terrible, but what about all the innocent lives of Iraqis who never did a bloody thing? Why do tens of thousands of civilians need to be killed? Do they really deserve to be blown to bits for the sake of a front about ‘fighting terror’? Fifteen of the Nineteen terrorists in the attacks on the United States on September 11th were from Saudi Arabia. Of the others, not one was Iraqi. So what exactly happened? We were then told that Iraq had WMD’s nuclear, biological, chemical, and radiological weapons. So to ‘prove it,’ U.N. weapons inspectors were sent to find these terrible things that Iraq was oh-so-certainly going to use to blow us all up. Only thing is, when the inspectors got there- shock! There’s nothing there! So before the inspectors could finish, we pull them out and start the invasion. We ‘kept looking’ but lo and behold, still nothing turns up. In fact, ‘”I think it’s clear that in March, when the invasion took place, the evidence that had been brought forward was rapidly falling apart,” Hans Blix, who oversaw the agency’s investigation into whether Iraq had chemical and biological weapons, said on CNN’s “Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer.”(source cnn.com)’ The fact is, Iraq is a tactical godsend for a grip in the middle east. Petrol, troops, and a hand in the cookie jar that is the middle east. So it’s interesting that nobody seems to remember that. I guess it was dismisseed as a mistake, but if we were so sure that Saddam had the WMD’s, then why didn’t we let the weapons inspectors finish their job? I’ve heard people say it was because they were at risk, but does Hans Blix (quoted above) sound like someone who was at risk of being killed? Because to me, he sounds like someone who realizes that the entire administration has lied to us, tricked us, and sunk us so deep into debt that everybody should be outraged. I have to ask… please, sir, may we have another reason to keep fighting this war if there are no WMD’s? Well against all odds, the Bush Administration managed to once again dupe the public with another lame excuse. Now it isn’t about protecting just America, it’s about protecting the world! We have to stop this threat by waging a war on terror! And if we don’t, it can and will infect the world and destroy us all! The terrorists hate our freedoms! They hate our values! They hate our beliefs! And because they hate us so much, they will do anything to exterminate us! So if we want to be safe, there is only one thing we can do: exterminate them first. Now the plan could have been simple, go to the future, get Arnold to come back in time to the present, and just send him over. After all, he said he’d be back, and government officials can’t renege on promises, can they? Only problem is, when Indy went on his wild ride escaping from the top secret government warehouse, he smashes our confiscated alien time machine with his big jeep and his crazy driving! Well with that idea in the trash can, we (or someone, at any rate,) decided to send more and more troops over there. Now, 5 years, 3,000 American Soldiers, and a documented 85-90k Iraqi civilians later, we’re still there, and interestingly enough, over the last few years guess who the rebuilding contracts have been handed out to? You got it- or maybe not- American Corporations, like Haliburton (of which Dick Cheney was CEO for five years… coincindence?) Another important thing to think about is if Saddam was the problem, why didn’t we leave when he was captured? Oh, right, it would have made everything we did worthless. Well I don’t think that somehow, leaving is going to undo everything. Those 85 thousand Iraqi civilians will still be dead. So will the 3,000 American soldiers. The living Iraqis won’t get their houses back, their families, their friends. The dead are dead, what’s done is done, what’s gone is gone. Forever. This war hasn’t done a damn thing for anyone, besides getting rid of Saddam, who was a good friend of the United States until he disobeyed orders. Like Pinocchio, poor Saddam got fed up with being a puppet. He wanted to be a real boy, and got brutalized for the murder and conquest that we alone have a right to. The posers… well they need to be dealt with. And I’m afraid that here in America, we aren’t for the people anymore. The only question we ask now is ‘What’s in it for me?’ And a nation where that becomes that sick, well, it sure as hell shouldn’t be around for long.
And in conclusion…
It is important to remember that the United States, however young, is still an empire. And from history class we know that ‘empires crumble’ and ‘history repeats itself.’ Wars, debt, and lies… how good do you think the last 8 years have been for the United States? September 11th, the war, multi-trillion dollar debt… will the worry and pain never end? Ah well, at least we have our music to drown out the sound of fear and suffering.

Terrorism Revisited
•May 30, 2008 • Leave a CommentAfter reading my post on terrorism, some bright blogger decided to go for the most literal meaning possible from the post, claiming that ‘This blogger [meaning me] learned history from “Stewie and Family Guy,”‘ and that I ‘proclaimed’ that terrorism wasn’t thought about before 9/11. Yes, I stated the latter, but (1) it was not proclaimed, and (2) I had no idea that anyone would be so stupid as to think I was speaking totally literally. I didn’t realize I needed to specify parameters for my statement. Lets start, shall we? (1) Terrorism was not often talked about in the United States. (2) Terrorism does and has existed in other countries before and now. (3) Terrorism as it is defined in these United States now is often different from elsewhere mainly because it is an extremely broad generalization and is discriminatory toward Muslims, Iraqis, and indeed anyone who could look like they are from the Middle East, due to infection ideas from mainstream media. that specific enough for ya, you conservative liar? I’ll thank him and anyone in future not to lie about what I say or exaggerate what I say like he has. This guy also says:
When will we get the message? They are trying to kill us!
I formerly was concerned that young Americans of today were learning current news and politics from late night comics on television. This new revelation that they are learning history from cartoon characters such as Stewie and Family Guy is indeed troubling. Is there no hope for the future?
Um… I find it even more diturbing that America’s adult population gets their news and politics from the mainstream media, like Fox News, without whom Bush might not even have been elected. Look it up before you even think about commenting about that. And yes, dear sir, I would say there is hope for the future. Maybe we’ll be too busy watching our cartoons & shows to kill and wreak as much damage on people, countries, and the environment as you have. Secondly, if you honestly think we learn our history from these shows, what world are you living in? It’s a little thing we call ‘sarcasm’ and ‘jokes’. When I said ‘Stewie has dealt with Osama’, it was a reference to an episode, but as a joke. Anyone who takes that to mean we learn from it needs to come out of aristotle’s metaphorical caves and get out out in the world more. Maybe, oh I don’t know, talk to us ‘young people’ and find out what we really think instead of making exaggerations, lying, making generalizations, and not even linking to my post? Now that’s when you know something’s up. My post was in a way a metaphor, a guide. It is not meant to be taken literally all the time. Some of what I say is a sarcastic exaggeration o make a point, but not an exaggeration that I expect you to believe. I appreciate comments, but not nastiness. By the way, if you want to cause yourself pain and ruin your own day, you can subject yourself to the guy’s post here. I respectfully suggest you and anyone who hasn’t already seen these go out and rent Fahrenheit 911 (Michael Moore), An Inconvenient Truth (Al Gore), and Sicko (again, Michael Moore). These all show a little taste of what’s really going on here in America.

Terrorism
•May 27, 2008 • 4 CommentsNow as everyone who watches Family Guy knows, Stewie has dealt with Osama and his associates, but the question is, what exactly is terrorism? Well, boys and girls, terrorism is the threat of communism reborn. For example, an excerpt from an Anti-Communist Speech follows. Note the I have struck through every reference to ‘communism’ and replaced it with ‘terrorism’.
“Americans, There is a serious menace in our society today, I am of course referring to Communism Terrosism, which is now plaguing the entire world. Unless we learn what a curse Communism Terrorism really is and take action against its open threats and its subversive activities or we shall lose our choice of politics, our choice of religion and our freedom of speech. I find it impossible even to imagine how Americans would live if they were suddenly deprived of such freedoms. We discovered not too late, that a former ally was at all times plotting against us alongside other nations even while we were helping to save its very existence. From the time the aims and purposes of the Communists Terrorists were more clearly revealed, we began the preparation and mobilization of our nation and of other friendly peoples. I have served in two World Wars…” etc etc. (source: coursework.info)
As you can see, Terrorism is the new Communism… In order for a society to exist, it must have a common enemy to bind it and keep it distracted. Unfortunately I cannot remember who said that, but that’s the gist of the quote. Another important thing to keep in mind is that terrorism is apparently the only reason we are waging this war, and terrorism itself was not even thought about before September 11th (which was a very odd day indeed) but let me once again reiterate the point of this post: Terrorism is real, but in this war, it is only a front, the vehicle that allowed this war and that keeps the United States bonded against a common enemy. Without it we would have to pay more attention to what is going on here at home, and the disasters the last eight years have brought upon us.
